Buster, 11 year old dog with no teeth - seized!

Buster, an 11 year old dog with mobility issues and no teeth, has been seized by Suffolk Police - according to the change.org website where a petition has been created. Mark Shirley who created the petition says, "Buster is an 11 Year Old "Type" Dog, He has some mobility issues based on his age, he also has NO TEETH not one."

He goes on to say "Buster is in no way aggressive nor shown any aggressive tendencies, of any manner and lives in a loving home with 5 kids between the ages of 3 and 15 with another baby on the way."

Many people think this is a prime example of why breed specific legislation needs to be replaced, by something that targets bad owners not innocent dogs. You can sign the petition here:

Really goes to show what a shambles the Dangerous Dogs Act is. Sooner it is abolished and replaced with something far more sensible the better!

So a dog with no teeth and mobility issues poses a danger,I've heard it all now
It's time this pathetic, unjust, unworkable law was repealed.

Pathetic. I'm American and some people I know want a law like the Dangerous Dogs Act passed here because some of these fighting trained pit bulls are allowed to run rampant. This is a reason I think the laws should stay where they are.... and not even that. Not only do the laws fail to prevent the dogs from getting in and hurting people, the laws cause this type of foolishness. This is not what the law was meant to do. Surely there must be a better way to deal with people who fight these dogs.?
