That is appalling. Poor dog and poor owner. Hope they catch the nutter responsible quickly.

This happened about ten minutes from where I live and as yet no one has been caught. There was a small group of people out walking two dogs, the labradoodle ran ahead, owners calling it but very windy. Heard two bangs and sortly after a man came over the hill and asked if the people were looking for a dog, his wife had seen a landrover discovery pull up, man got out, took out a shotgun, shot the dog and then drove off. She was too scared to approach understandably. Awful situation and apparently not reported to police till 48 hours or so after the incident with vague details which is why no one has been caught I'm guessing.
