A Dogs Dinner From Greater Manchester Police!

Officers and staff across Greater Manchester Police have donated an amazing amount of dog food for Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home.

An appeal for dog food by the Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home was posted on the Force’s Intranet site for almost two weeks and as a result, staff have donated food that will last up to one week along with dog toys.

All the donations have now been transported to the dogs’ home based in Harphurhey.

I apologise if I was snippy Rosebud - but surely a week's supply of food is better than none at all?

And nothing actually said that the total amount was for one week only - it said that staff had donated food to last up to one week. My understanding was that each donor had given that amount of food, not that it was a total amount.

And who knows - having done that once they might very well continue to do so.

Let us hope that they do.

malka; please dont take comments personally. it makes discussion so hard.

ok; remember my family work with homeless and rescue dogs, so we take a long term view of needs. we agonise over food running out, for people and dogs . sometimes these charity efforts help for a while then we are stranded again. it is great when folk commit to regular giving. a week is so little.
my view. wishing i could earn more to feed more and frustrated with this flu.
right;back to work...
