Alfie, the one-year-old Norwegian Buhund who went missing after being hit by a car on Friday evening, has been found safe and well. After spending two nights out in freezing conditions he has been reunited with his grateful owners.
An appeal for help in finding him by Alfie's owner was successful when he was spotted in the grounds of a doctor's surgery. Owner, Kate Smith, said that Alfie had been growling at people who were trying to catch him but when Mr Smith arrived, Alfie went straight to him. Apart from a paw injury, Alfie is said to be okay, although he will be checked out by a vet.
Mrs Smith said she was extremely grateful to all the people in the community who helped in the search for Alfie.
