Myra I think you're being offended about what Nippy said is a bit OTT simply because we don't actually know what she meant by the term "melting pot". I have lived in London my entire life and London was a "melting pot" in my eyes long before I was born 60 years ago. However Nippy lives in Devon and I'm guessing she always has and I doubt it has the same diverse ethnic mixes as London has always had. These days the whole country has an opinion on Immigration yet you'd struggle to find many that have exactly the same view on it. Yes it's a christian country we have a christian monarch but the vast majority of practicing christians in this country are immigrants. Churchs have been complaining for decades about declining congregations but the influx of immigrants is redressing the balance, not all immigrants are muslims, far from it.

Actually, Apache said that because his descendants signed the Declaration of Independence... he should decide who gets to live in a place. Right, the people who stole the country from it's natives deserve that right. Of course I agree with that.

As usual, people are not reading my replies as a whole. Anyway, I'm truly done with this since I can't stomach bigotry and prejudice along with one sided positions like the one Apache presented.

Excuse me for getting offended by that statement. Suppose something could've been lost in the language differences. Jackie, those are my opinions. They are neither true nor untrue. So think I'll stand by my statement. As for my "outburst" which I don't think I had, whatever.

I read your post but I don't have to agree with it any more than I have to agree with Apache, Tawneywolf, Jodee, nippy or anyone else said.
As for your Bigotry comment that's a huge part of what the Uk is so annoyed about, every time we try to voice an opinion we are accused of being Bigots. It's far more complicated than can be explained here and you getting on your high horse does not encourage reasoned debate and discussion. People who are not prejudiced get mighty P**ssed off when told they are because they object to what's going on.

Interesting isn't it that lots of off licences are actually owned and staffed by Muslims, how does that work then. They're allowed to sell it and make a profit, but no ones allowed to buy it?
Really ? Most of the off licences I know of that are owned by non white owners are not owned by Muslims, they may be owned by someone of Middle Eastern appearance, but is everyone who is from the Middle East a Muslim ? An assumption that is very flawed, there are other religions in the Middle East other than Muslims.

If someone wearing a Burka confronts you & you are upset etc then report them, they are committing antisocial behaviour just as a gang of drunks/hooligans etc are.

The English/British whatever are experts at moaning & complaining, but are lacking when it comes to doing something about the behaviour etc they disapprove of.

Yesterday I went to lunch at a Garden Centre, as usual my Jesscee was barking as I got out of my van. 2 women & a child got out pulled up alongside my van in a car & the young girl got out & started screaming very loudly that the dog was trying to bite her-my dogs were all crated INSIDE my van at the time. These were white local people not "foreigners" yet the women hurried away telling the child they wouldn't let the nasty dog get her !! Perhaps they were converts to Islam-but I doubt it

Yes Catrin, it was reported on the Mail Online, whether you or others want to call it the Daily Fail or the Daily Wail.

It was also reported in many other local London news media.

I chose to post the one that was brought to my attention as the main one - the one mose likely to be read by more people.

It was posted in the media as News.

It was brought to my attention as News.

News as in the UK media.

And in all faith [and I am not talking about religion here], I posted this as News on the News Section of Dogsey.

Whether it is true or not is immaterial.

Whether such posters were posted by Muslims or not is immaterial.

Whether those posters were posted by Muslim haters is immaterial.

The fact is that those posters were printed and posted, and whoever did so and why, wanted to cause trouble.

Which they have, by many of the posts on this thread.

And all I did was post a news article on this, the News Section of Dogsey.

OK, there are 3 off licences local to me, all of them are owned, run and staffed by muslims.
The local shop is one of these. When they first moved here many years ago the wife always appeared behind the counter with her hair uncovered, she is a lovely person and over the years we have had many many conversations about dogs, it is she who told me that dogs are the guardians and what is happening to me is wrong. However during those years she has gradually become very different, she now covers her hair and is rarely seen in the shop itself, still see her sometimes if she passes in the car and she'll wave. From speaking to her I know she does a lot of charity work abroad in disaster areas and the like, she is a very good genuine person, and I have no problem with her, the family are always polite and well mannered.
If everyone I met was like that, then not a problem, but they are (to be honest) a very tiny minority. The majority are like those silly women screaming, clutching at their chilren and running away. What is there to report, oh I was offended because these people scream at my dogs. It is all very insidious to my mind, they have actually stopped me walking and socialising my dogs because of their behaviours, my decision I know, but I was sick of the whole stupid scenario being played out time after time. This is going on now all over Britain, and Europe, no wonder UKIP got the tremendous support they did. No wonder the French banned the Burka and have voted in the person they did. Its not good at all, but its the way things are going to go unless all this radicalisation is stopped. We were and are a very tolerant nation as a whole, but we're going to have to change our ways I think, in fact it is already starting.
Yes I can see your point about your experience at the garden centre, it happens to me sometimes when I am out, some people are just very stupid, whatever their race or creed, and unforunately they are bringing their children up the same way. But by far my worse experiences are coming from the muslim sectors.

Deleted because I posted what I thought was a legitimate news story. I have already apologised as some people objected, and I had, in this deleted post, once again done the same.

It was a news story.

This is a News Section.

Whether the news was from the Mail Online, or, as certain people call it the Daily Hail, Daily Wail or what, it was and is news.

And I am not going to apologise again for posting something that was sent to me in all good faith as news.
