Sunderland shop raiders 'abandoned their dog'

I am not sure how they can be sure the dog was abandoned - could it have have been a stray and got in after the robbery?

Burglars believed to have abandoned their dog during a shop raid in Sunderland are being hunted by police.

The small mid-brown animal was discovered in the Print Centre shop in the early hours, and was taken to a kennels for safe-keeping.

A laptop was taken during the break-in, which involved the raiders smashing glass in the front door to gain entry.

I am trying to envisage these 'raiders' who would take a 'small brown dog' on the raid with them? Just can't see it somehow! Not unless the dog sneaked into their vehicle as they drove off to raid the place! Can you imagine it?

'Oh shoot how did the dog get in here?' lol!

Or perhaps they tried to take it with them when they left in a hurry but the dog had REALLY bad recall!

Well I've heard rumours that some thieves would take 'fighting dogs' with them to places where there were guard dogs - to keep the guard dogs busy while they go rob the place some people eh!?

Don't doubt that actually Azz. But this 'small brown dog' didn't seem to fit the bill from the description. I suppose I envisage Bella when people say 'small brown dog' lol

I wonder if the dog actually belonged there. Doesn't seem to be the guard dog type but maybe it was supposed to be a deterrent.
The mind boggles. Well mine does.
