A GROUP OF dogs will take to the stage in Dublin’s Christchurch Cathedral this week.
The Peata Carol Service will see ‘therapy dogs’, who work with sick people to make them feel better, joining their owners for the service, with the barking of dogs temporarily replacing the renowned cathedral choir.
The cathedral will be filled with the sound of barking as Peata dogs, as well as other dogs, will be welcomed to the service during which there will be a pet blessing.
Peata is a voluntary organisation which provides a pet therapy service to caring institutions. Its visiting scheme involves approved volunteers and their dogs who generally pay weekly visits.
The service will take place at 1.15pm this Tuesday.
Hopefully they play Merry Christmas (War is Rover).
