Police warn owners after Surrey dog thefts.

Surrey police have issued a warning for people not to leave their pets unattended, after three dogs have been reported missing within a two weeks of each other in September. All are still missing. Surrey Heath neighbourhood inspector James Norbury said: "We are advising owners to be alert and extra vigilant. At this stage there is no evidence the disappearances were thefts or linked and we urge anyone aware of any suspicious incidents to report them.”

Bonnie, Evie and Archie, a black and white Jack Russell, a Cairn terrier and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel are all still missing.

If anyone has any information please contact Surrey Police on 01483 571212

Dog theft does seem like it is on the rise, or do you think its because there is more publicity available now? Poor dogs I do hope they make their way home soon x

Thanks - Will make sure Kestral isnt left unattended in the parents garden.. Although I think anyone trying to steal her would be outed by her barking and possibly bitten if they persisted
It is horrific though. Recently a little fox terrier puppy was stolen from round here - it was handed in to the vets a couple of days later by someone that had found it, but had had its tail mutilated
