Two women were bitten by a bull terrier after it attacked their Labrador in a Bedford street.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after two women suffered bite injuries during the dog attack in Bedford on Tuesday, July 29.
The incident happened at around 7.15pm in St Andrew’s Road, Bedford, as the two friends and one of their sons were walking their dogs.
As the three of them made their way along St Andrew’s Road, a woman walking a black Staffordshire bull terrier with white markings approached form the opposite direction. The Staffordshire bull terrier started pulling at the lead and then the woman let go. The dog then ran along St Andrew’s Road and attacked the victim’s Labrador.

PC Adam Sugden, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or from anyone who may have information about the offender who is described as being a white woman with blond hair who was wearing black leggings and a floral dress or long top.
