Would YOU spend £200 on a bag of dog food?

In times of austerity, most Brits have learnt to cut back on luxury items and extravagant spending.

Many people can't afford to dine out on luxury food, so it might seem odd to some that a new dog food product is made up of caviar and lobster and costs £200 per bag.

Cashing in on the pampered pooch brigade Green Dog Food caters for the most affluent per-owners in the country.

The brand usually specialises in healthy, chemical-free meals, but its latest product is all about spoiling your doggies.

The pricey dog-cuisine is also made up of truffles, swordfish, and saffron and it takes 12 weeks to prepare the unique blend.

Well, even if I could afford the food for the boys, I definitely wouldn't be able to stretch to the wine that they would undoubtedly want to go with it, nor the port and cigars for afterwards.........

No if I wanted them to eat swordfish and truffles I'd give them swordfish and truffles not an engineered version of it.

Oddly enough I was looking at Green Dog food the other day and prices were similar to many other products.

The 'new variety' could be a publicity stunt maybe ?

It is not made yet - they need 500 orders before they can start producing it!

Hilarious. Even if I had a billion bucks, I'd not feed my dog this nonsense. It doesn't even sound healthy.

No I wouldn't feed my dog this, even if he didn't have allergies and a dodgy stomach.
Someone commented on the link that if they could afford this they would continue to feed a good high quality diet and give the rest to charity and I have to agree I would want to do the same, and reduce my hours of working to spend more time with my pets.
