A little poodle-mix, nicknamed “Iceman” by Denver Animal Shelter workers after he was rescued from a partly frozen lake, was put up for adoption a week after the incident when nobody came forward to claim him and has now found a new home.

Footage was shown of “Iceman” flailing in the icy waters of Berkeley Lake, Denver before being rescued by firefighters. When he was put up for adoption by Denver Animal Shelter a week later, so many people came to offer him a home that the shelter had a drawing, which was also televised. The winner will take him home with her on Tuesday.
