A tiny Yorkshire terrier from New Jersey has become the Guinness record holder for being the world's smallest working dog. At 2.5 pounds, Lucy, the three-year-old miniature Yorkshire terrier measures just 14.5 cm tall – smaller than the previous record holder, Momo, a chihuahua from Japan.
Lucy was homeless two years ago and about to be taken to a dog pound. She was brought into a pet boutique and the owner, falling in love with her, decided to keep her. Lucy is now a therapy dog, working in hospitals and with children with disabilities and troubled youths.
