In a way I do hope it was a hoax, it's nice to think that the poor dog isn't suffering after all.
I hope if the person is suffering mental health issues they are helped and get some support, if it's just a load of nonsense I hope they get more than a slap on the wrist for wasting the valuable time of the people out searching for the 'dog'.
I can't seem to find any updates on the situation though.

It would be a nice outcome if it was a hoax I felt very sick reading about the potential injuries wondering how that poor dog was feeling and what horrors it had suffered.
