Miniature ponies savaged in dog attack

LOOSE dogs are thought to be to blame for an attack on two miniature show ponies.

One pony suffered more than 100 injuries when it was savaged on land in Alltwen, South Wales.

Owner Darren Lambourne said the ponies had been attacked twice in a matter of weeks.

“The horse had bite marks and his tail was ripped off,” Mr Lambourne told the South Wales Evening Post

“The second incident happened either on Friday or Saturday night.

“The horse had to be rushed to the vets. The vet was appalled.

“The first attack might have been just five minutes but the second one could have been for an hour or longer.”

South Wales Police said they were investigating the attacks.
