I say no!

No. Smoke outside if you have too but not near people or animals.

Of course not! They are air-breathing animals the same as ys with the same respiratory system and the same requirements.

Well I don't smoke so tbh the question doesn't apply but I don't like cigarette smoke so would avoid anyone smoking around me or my dogs.

I don't smoke anyway but I think people shouldn't smoke around their dog.

quite a few years ago we had a few gorgeous Budgies in colors I'd wanted for years and we'd spent about $1000.00 on the entire set-up. Our kids adopted a favorite each and of course that left me with the normal 2 Budgies.
No matter though. About a year later they all died within a month between the first and last death. Curious me, took them to the vet. They'd all died from lung disease similar to "Smokers Lung". The vet was miffed but asked if we smoked.
So I stopped smoking. Budgies are still dead.. ...sooooooo. No!

Husband and self smoked for the first 35 years of our marriage. I bred and showed Goldens and Toys - and also had a child! I have been a little asthmatic from childhood, but neither the dogs nor my daughter had any ill effects. We gave up smoking about 15 years ago, but I think it had more to due to the price of tobacco than to any ill effect on our health. I still love standing next to a smoker!
