A new film is being made in the North East of England, centred around the topic of how a brother and sister find a a beaten up dog and nurse him back to health - but get dragged back into the dog fighting world, when they have to fight to save him. The star is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who the film-makers say has a fantastic temperament, and is a very sweet-natured dog.
Mike Tweddle, the director of the film says, "The story is about a young boy's relationship with the dog and the dog's history, having come from the evil world of dog-fighting, and the aim of the film is to highlight that this dangerous wicked and illegal activity still goes on."
They are working with the RSPCA in an effort to make the film as accurate as possible, and are starting filming this summer.
