The little dog who won the 2011 World's Ugliest Dog competition at the Sonoma Marin Fair, California died in her sleep on Saturday at the age of 15. Yoda, a 1.8 pound Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix, took the crown last June because of her “short tufts of hair, protruding tongue and long, seemingly hairless legs”.
Yoda's owner, Terry Schumacher, said he will miss “her funny little ways.” He originally found Yoda abandoned behind a building after mistaking her for a rat and the two went on to win the $1000 prize and a trophy, and appear on national television. The title stays with Yoda until this year's contest in June.
Sweet dreams Yoda
