Has anyone got a humidity monitor?

If so what are your readings these last few days?

It's been in the mid 70s here

(I think ideal is meant to be around 30 to 50)

Can't help you with it but ... all I can say is that since I landed in the UK on Monday I have been really surprised at how sticky, clammy and well - just DAMP it is everywhere! Not pleasant at all. We asked for a fan for Mart's room in the clinic yesterday - with windows open was no better than with them closed.

And I thought I was escaping the damp neck, damp seat world of Cyprus over here! I haven't - I've just escaped the sunshine!

It feels very clammy here now - I never used to notice it before but since taking an interest in it I see/feel it all the time

Where are you at the moment? I was hoping the South would be less damp!

One of the wall clocks in the salon [the only one of my clocks that shows humidity] is registering 45% but on checking today's forecast for town, which is updated hourly, it says 39%.

Figures for this evening, tonight, tomorrow morning, afternoon and evening are a bit higher but it looks like the temperature will be more comfortable, ranging from 28°C tomorrow afternoon [which is what it is indoors here now with all windows/door open and air-con off], down to 20°C at night.

It is a darn sight hotter than 28°C outside though.

Azz, I am just a bit inland from the coast, and even town [Ashqelon] is south, so less humidity there, and even less here [I have no idea how accurate the temperature and humidity that clock shows, but what can you expect from a wall clock that only cost a fiver?!].

But I am also just about at the northern edge of the Negev desert and not in a built-up area, so things like temperature, humidity etc are different even just a few kilometers away.

This is the weather for Ashqelon - current time showing as it is now!
