B****y Tesco!

Did a big Tesco order online last night for delivery between 10 and 12 today. I've been in a course all day so John was home for the delivery.
12:00, no Tesco so at 12:10 John rang to see where they were. After a ludicrous amount of time on hold, he was told the van had broken down Now, ok I can understand that's avoidable but they rearranged delivery for 5:00 and I'm still waiting. I've been on the phone to them again and they've said to wait til 6:30 and call back
If I have to go shopping tomorrow morning on a bank holiday weekend because these t*****s can't can't there act together, I won't be a happy bunny They've refunded the delivery charge and given us a £5.00 voucher for the next order but there won't be a flaming next order if they don't show up soon. This is the second time they've let us down in the last couple of months They used to be so good and now...

Thats unusual I usually get a phone call telling me if the shopping is going to be delayed. I would be furious as you rightly are. Bet you feel like telling them where to stick it don't you ?

Once you do get your shopping....e-mail them to tell them how dissapointed you are, and i'm sure they will compensate you more!

I once got a 4 pack of baked beans, and 1 tin was so bashed I couldn't have opened it...I know it's petty, but I e-mailed them, and they refunded me the price of all the tins lol

You go girl, I've had a bit of an ongoing battle with Tesco's home delivery and if it keeps up they'll be supplying my shopping for free soon The deliveries are always brilliant, the only part of the service that seems to actually function at our local Tesco's. If I book a delivery say between 10-12 it will arrive at 10 on the dot. Shame they seem to be incapable of picking what I ask for and packing it with any common sense at all. The best one was 2 tubs of ice cream sharing a bag with 2 large bags of grapes and 10 bananas, all the fruit was inedible. I've also had foodstuffs sharing bags with bleach etc. £200+ worth of shopping delivered with no bags, when the with bag option selected. I now just nick their green delivery boxes and return them next time. Apparently my local Tesco's has had no bags for about 6 weeks now. Although they still have them at the checkouts.
I did an order with Ocado the other week and that was bloody brilliant. They're starting to price match Tesco too, shame the OH works for Tesco.

Oh yes Jackie, you go girl, give 'em hell!!! I do hope it arrives, it'll be a nightmare if you have to go tomorrow! I have the same problem as Trouble, they put one thing in one bag, and then potatoes in with eggs so when you pick that bag up it breaks and the eggs all fall out on the drive Then they miss out half the stuff (once I had ALL the dairy missing!!!) or put the wrong brand in or something. I haven't done it for a while, since mum's been gone, coz I have all the time in the World now to enjoy going to the store, otherwise my bp goes through the roof after every delivery of late, just like yours today!!!

Nightmare!!!! Still b****y waiting!!!!!!!! Just rang them again and waiting for a call back
The deliveries used to be brilliant here but they seem to be going downhill which is why we went from Asda to Tesco in the first place! I really wish our Morrisons delivered
I've sung their praises since day one as well!

Humm....as an ex-delivery .com person I have to beg you not to yell at the people who deliver the shopping.

I always tried to get hold of the people, but if you are in a bad reception area you don't often have a chance or are not able to call.

It is always the driver who ends up with the displeasure which used to really upset me. The drivers do not pick the shopping or pack it.

I really hope that you manage to sort out the shopping.
