Decaf anyone ?

We are tea mad in this house, but since Xmas we have drunk decaf only, and quite like it.

My doctor recently asked if I drank decaf, as i have had sleep problems.

So do you all drink tea and is it decaf ?

I don't drink tea or coffee (not through health reasons, I just don't like hot drinks!) but OH drinks a lot of tea.

Sometime ago i suggested he switch to decaf as he has always had problems sleeping. Anyway, he switched but for about 3 or 4 weeks he felt awful - he had headaches, no energy, couldn't sleep.
We only realised that this was due to caffeine withdrawal when describing the symptons to a neighbour and straight away she said 'have you stopped drinking caffeine'.

After about a month, he was fine and I think now does feel better for not having so much caffeine (though he will still have normal if that's all that's available).

I LOVE a cuppa and simply HAVE to have one in the morning to get myself going, dont drink much tea during the day but will have a few cups in the evening.

Never tried Decaf although my mum has it

Never had a problem sleeping.

We drink decaf tea in the beginning same problems with headaches etc.
I ran out a while back and only had caffeine tea bags and we both suffered with sleep problems and it is much stronger.Soon went out and bought some decaf.

I can't stand tea even the smell of it makes me feel queasy

I am partial to a coffee or 3 though. Not so much at home but when I am working but I like the caffeinated variety

Have to limit the latte's though-very fattening

I was advised to switch to decaf as the caffeine increases anxiety problems. If you don`t like the de-caf option there is a tea that grows naturally without caffeine. It is called Roobios and several places sell it in a variety of brands. Mine is from a company called tick tock.

I dont like tea, the smell is sickly !!

I DO drink coffee though, via a Drip

I tried decaff once but the headaches it gave me were horrid, so I went back on to normal coffee and the headaches went
