Smell

Some of your excellent people may have some idea's on this.

As you know we took Flower on, she had mange extremely bad, at one time (seen the photo's) before she got here she was covered in scabs and cracked skin. Now she has a wonderful coat, very shiny and thick, all her health problems seem to have gone except for her smell.
I can only describe it like smelly sweaty feet, sometimes its so bad it sticks the place out.
She has had baths, we have used doggy deodorant, Teatree sprays etc nothing touches it.
She is fed raw.

any suggestions from you clever ones

No ideas Steph hopefully someone will be along soon to help you with the problem.

I always found when feeding raw doggy odour was non existent.

It's because she has mange that she has the classic musty smell. Is she still being treated for mange? If I remember correctly some dogs never lose the smell completely. Have you been using Malesab to bath her with? I think that helps with the smell. Sorry not able to offer any other advice.

Maybe she has a fungal infection and needs a bath in a fungal shampoo. I did have some here which was prescribed by a vet but I can't find it so don't know what it was called.

She doesn't have the Mange now, all her health issues have been sorted, she was bathed in in the stuff but this smell has stayed its like old sweaty socks from under the bed that have there for days YUK
