Feeling a little deflated

I don't want to put a dampener on everyone's Christmas, but today was my mums funeral two years ago. It feels for me worse this year than it did last year. I think I put more effort into it last year because of the kids (23 & 25). They all absolutely adored their grandma.

I have now an 11 week old grand daughter, but because she doesn't know what day it is, I still cannot get into the scheme of things. I have to be in work at 4am on Boxing Day, so my Xmas party has had to have to go by.

So I am looking forward to New Years Day where we are going to have our Christmas Dinner/Party in the Evening.

So I probably won't be on much over Christmas (even Molly n Mindy haven't received their Secret Santa this year).

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, but an EVEN BETTER NEW YEAR FOR 2012.

Who said Christmas was compulsory anyway, if you feel like mooching, then mooch. There's always next year.

I've bought a turkey for New Years Day when all the family will be round, but on Christmas Day, I am making a Lasagne.

So we are having an Italian Christmas this year.

My daughter said... "If you can't cook a Fu****** turkey once a year, then there is a problem....... Its just not the same without mum x

Obviously I have a problem

If you dont feel like it you dont feel like it, its allowed. Xmas hasnt been the same for me since I lost my dad in 2007, doesnt mean there is a problem, just means something important has changed xxx

My dad has leukaemia, still okay, but still needs looking after.

One persons problem is another persons paradise.

And if you think you have it bad, just remember the face I have staring back at me every day, Christmas or no Christmas.....
