Tuesday Update (Heard from John and recieved Patterlads Sketch)

I recieved an email from John today and Patterlads sketch has just been delivered too.

John thanks us for the lovely flowers, cards and your messages. He says he cannot read them just yet as it is too painful but will try to in the next few weeks. He says he knows how much Lesley was held in high regard by many at Dogsey. I guess she talked about us a lot to him.

He said that people at her training school also thought a great deal about her and have been extraordinarily kind and supportive. He says the refrigerator and freezer are bursting with food for Hannah and Jackson (from people at the school).

He says he will carry on with their training, because they enjoy it so very much, but he's not sure he will continue with their obedience competition. In the family hierarchy, he says he was very much number four in their estimation. Good for cuddles, but certainly not to be considered their equal. Actually, he goes on to say, they are remarkably good dogs, due entirely to Lesley's training.

He also says Lesley very much enjoyed her involvement with Dogsey, and that it really was a significant part of her life.

He ends the email by saying how much Lesley meant to him and thanks us once again for the flowers, letters and messages.

Lesley was the very centre of my existence. The moment I first saw this tall, elegant and astonishingly beautiful woman (not only physically) I was in thrall. And have been for 35 years. I am the most fortunate of men to have shared my life with this remarkable woman. But losing her at such an early age is heartbreaking beyond belief. I will get over it I am sure, but at the moment I cannot see how. Your expressions of sympathy and support sustain me at this dreadful time.

Best regards

John
I'm glad he got everything we have sent him so far, and that he has some lovely people looking out for him. I am sure he will very much appreciate Patterlad's sketch (thanks Patterlad!) and Dani's Video Montage (thanks Dani!) which we will send off to him soon. A big thank you to all of you, it is quite clear everything we have done and said is helping him through this very difficult time. xx

Thanks for the update Azz good to know he has people looking out for him.
So sad when two people meant for each other have to go through this but happens to us all I suppose.
At least he got to share 35 years with her.
As the saying goes better too of loved and lost than not too of loved at all.
