Well, many years ago, when I was busy hosing down GSD pee patches on my grass, I was told by someone that although in the short term it would appear to 'kill that patch off' it would in the long term be the GREENEST bit! That must be why then.
However, as they produce new 'patches' daily - you are not likely to see any 'benefits' from this phenomenon really. And my GSD used to prefer to pee and poo in her own back yard - she'd hold on all day rather than poo anywhere other than down the bottom of our garden.
