I don;t even bother with the oil/butter. Just pop it in small teacup, pierce the yolk the pop it in micorwave. If you cover it with a saucer it will take a bit longer. I normally put a bit of kitchen towel over the cup, just in case the egg pops so does not cover the microwave. Hmm as for timing, I usually do it for 30 secs, then further 20 secs to amke sure the yolk deos not cook too much. Mind you, I still often end up with solid yolk,every egg seems different
