Chocolate Brownies

I'm so sick of sitting around at home since I've been off work I decided to bake today.

Anyone fancy a chocolate Brownie? (I made 2 pans)

Double Chocolate Brownie Recipe

75g (2 1/2oz) butter, softened
50g (1 3/4oz) bitter chocolate
225g (7oz) caster sugar
2 eggs beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
75g (2 1/2 oz) plain flour, sifted
50g (1 3/4 oz) chocolate chips

Heat oven to 180 degrees C (gas mark 4)
Melt the butter and chocolate in a pan over a low heat.
Remove from the heat and add the sugar, eggs and vanilla essence mixing well.
Fold in the flour and spoon into a well greased 20cm (8in) square cake tin.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips, pressing them lightly into the top of the mixture.
Bake the brownie mixture in the oven for about 30-35 minutes.
Allow to cool, then cut into squares and serve.

Thanks so much for tempting me with those yummy looking brownies when I'm trapped at work with nothing but a dry old cereal bar for company!!
