Our Delightful Royals!

I hope he is prosecuted, although I very much doubt that he will be.

What a spoiled, sick, twisted little git.

Evil swine. It definitely looks like he's hitting the dog.

Like you say, very little, if anything will probably be done.

apparently the dogs where having a scuffle, as there is no proof as yet that he hit the dogs, untill such time that proof of him beating the dogs can be brought forward I will sit happily on the fence,

what we have so far is a bit of stick waving.... at two dogs fighting....

how many people on here have waved things or struck dogs to stop a fight?
I can think of a fair few threads.

look at the pic. The 2 dogs were a fair bit apart, but to give the benefit of the doubt, lets say the dogs were fighting, the pic clearly shows they were finished, yet the pic clearly shows Eddie going in again with a great swing of a mighty stick. Yes, perhaps a hit to get them seperated but thats just too much

I'l like to take a great swing at them, all of them, and then stick them on a boat to a small south sea island

The article is also in the Sunday Times.

The photographer said the two dogs were scrapping over a kill and he "swiped his stick in their general direction persuading one of the gundogs to slink away".

from what I see, one dog is happily beside him,,, assuming this was the dog on the recieving end of the scrap, the dog slinking off, being the bad dog, I would say it looks as if hes just chaseing it off, I dont think even if he swung the stick it would connect from there,

I guess it depends on what you want to see in the photos,

Im sure if there were any photos of him connecting with the dogs they would be there for all to see.

the good old press at there rubbish again me thinks,.

I agree that the photographers would have loved a "contact" shot but there wasn't one to be had. I think they lie in wait for things like this to happen.

However, this doesn't excuse what appears to be a gross overreaction - surely a grab at the scruff and a shake would have sufficed? Lots of us deal with scraps between our dogs, but we don't run after them with a big stick! The dog's cowering reaction makes me think it has been hit before.

I didn't used to dislike the royals but over the years I have come to see them for what they are, or rather, most of them.
