Ben's got a thin patch!

Just noticed that Ben has two thin patches on his coat. They are round about the hip but a bit lower towards his armpit at the back. It looks like, you know when your baby would lie on it's back and their hair would go all fuzzy like at the back? well a bit like that.
It's not red or anything and it doesn't bother him.

Any ideas?

This sort of coat loss is nearly always hormone related and a trip to the vets soon would be a good idea.

I have read your post as if the patches are on each side, if they are on the one side then ignore what I have said but a vet visit would still be a good idea.

Oh God I hope it is not hormonal. We had all that with Jake My lovely Boxer. ended up on Thyroxin type tablets.

I hope so too Elaine but what ever it is you need to get some advice from the vet. Is he castrated?

Think you should ask the vets advice, it is probably something simple by if he is not scratching something is causing it to fall out and it needs looking at.
