I am free!

[I AM DIVORCED! In the eyes of the law, I'm a single woman again! (although my boyfriend disagrees )

I've just been across to the court, paid my fee and been awarded with a shiny certificate to confirm that the marriage has been disolved.
I couldn't stop grinning all the way back to work, but I feel a bit of an anti-climax now that I've spent nineteen months waiting for this moment (longer than I spent planning my wedding ). I couldn't even throw away my wedding ring because it was lost in the fight we had after he admitted his adultery.
But, YAY! It's all over! Fingers crossed my ex will accept the settlement I have proposed for the house and debts, and I can look forward to 2009 as a fresh start
