A true friend lost

Today I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have Beau put to sleep. On August 12th he had surgery to remove his spleen due to a massive tumour on it. The tumour was found to be a particularly aggresive kind. He came home on 16th August & for a few weeks looked to be making progress. Then the last during two weeks he started losing weight rapidly, he lost his appetite & his spirit just vanished. He gave up fighting. The cancer had spread.
I know I did the right thing & gave him the gift of taking away the pain and suffering. It still hurts like mad! He was only 4 years and ten months old. I helped deliver him into this world. He was my baby boy
Today I lost my best friend, and a much loved and loyal companion.

R.I.P my darling. Mummy misses you so much.

I'm so sorry to hear this very sad news.

If it's any comfort to you, Beau is pain free now, and that is proof positive that you did absolutely the right thing.

In time, you will be able to think of Beau with smiles instead of tears. Until that time comes, we are here for you.

Hugs x0x0x
