Duck Herding (collie) and other pics.

Went to our Local show at the Lea today...

Here are a few pics of the duck Herding display.


And this Dog was called Connor. he was so chilled out for a springer! He was with the Shire Horse people.

fabulous pictures, I loved them. The Shire horse is stunning.

I loved the dogs too............made my day herding ducks

Thanks all It was a really good day, I love seeing Collies in action herding.
Connor was just gorgeous.. I would have liked to steal him but had to make do with a photie!

I actually met a Basenji in the flesh for the first time too, she was a lovely 7 month old pup.

Great pics! I saw a collie herding runner ducks at the Perthshire Game and Country show recently and it was good fun. Was that the Quack Commandos?

Hayley - did it say who the collie handler was? My old herding trainer travels up and down the country doing demos. I don't recognise the dog though, so it probably wasn't him this time.

I did get a pic of him but didn't post that one as they had children in the ring as part of the display. I will pm it to you.
