Fun/Companion Dog Show Classes?

My village has decided to put on a Fun Dog Show this year to raise funds for the Village Hall (it's centenary year) and the Dogs Trust. Being a known dog lover I've been roped in and would like some opinions.

I've never managed to get to a Fun Dog Show yet so would like some ideas on what the best/most popular classes are!

I think dog with the waggiest tail has been mentioned along with the best six legs, but apart from that we're a bit stuck!

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated, also any ideas on good rosette companies would be helpful too.

Thanks people.

Fancy Dress
Fastest Bonio Eater
Best Trick
Junior Handler
Puppy
Dog that looks most like it's owner
Dog the judge would like to take home
Best longcoat/shortcoat
Best small dog (up to a height) and large dog
rough coat/smooth coat
Handsomest dog
Prettiest Bitch
Cutest/prettiest Eyes

Will it have pedigree classes, most do, but if it does, include a separate section for those too (Working, Utility, etc)

Hope that helps

Thanks for that, looks pretty good, something for everyone! Like the idea of the Fastest Bonio Eater - someone mentioned a prize for the dog that could eat the most Sausages - but I don't think anyone woud be keen on cleaning up all the sick afterwards!

Not sure about the Pedigree classes yet, will have to run it by the organiser. I'm not sure how big she wants the show to be?

Another question, if there was Best Veteran or Best Oldie class, what would be the best age to start from? I know it's 7+ at Open/Champ shows but do you think that's a little young for an "Oldies" class?

8+ sounds about right really. And fetch the Sausage, like that one. Better not invite any Labs then.

Or Isla!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Don't forget the Irish brace, my bitch was good at fetch the sausage but bad at giving it up, well she had fetched it so did not see why she could not hang on to it.

Yes I've seen some with a Veteran class, and I think they started from 8 or 9 years old.

As for rosettes, I think Tyrella have been the best ones I've seen for Fun shows, and some are nicer than the Champ show ones

Any classes that get the kids involved, draw in lots, as the kids love to show off their dogs and the tricks they've taught them.
