Chilblains

Does anyone get them? I think OH has them - they are little spots with blisters on and they've come up on his hands. They give a burning sensation. Does this sound like chilblains? I googled them but couldn't see any decent pictures.
Thanks.

I suffered badly with chilblains when I lived in England, the area is normally very red with a smooth shine in the surface - if you get what I mean not to good at explaining things

Are you sure this isn't an allergy to something he's touched!

Thanks Shaza - no I don't think so. I can't think of anything he's touched. He hasn't been wearing gloves when taking Loki out and it has been quite cold.

Excellent description of chilblains. I would not say they look like blisters

Hmmm really not sure then, but spots and blisters doesn't sound like chilblains to me - but i may be wrong. The burning sensation is a symptom though

I suffered with Chilblains last February & they were as you describe, so painful, mine became infected & my hand became very swollen - picture below.
I now suffer with Raynauds.
This is mild & how it started on my little finger

Then infected

Ooh Sweep, that looks very uncomfortable. It doesn't resemble my husband's spots - thanks for the link; I'll have a read.

Hi LS.

It sounds a bit like a heat rash (prickly heat), but I must admit seems a bit of an odd time of year to be getting it.
