Sad news for the TZBCs - snif snif

We heard two days ago that Kali's litter-sister (and Snorri's "auntster") has died of cancer, at the age of 13 - 14 on 24/4/08. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of "Spotty", but she was a pretty little dog who lived on a farm on the next island to ours.

I will always remember that we "borrowed" her on her first birthday and took her and two of her brothers back to her birthplace to see the folks who "bred" her. I have the mental picture of her lying on the lawn, holding both brothers down with a paw on each of their necks!

That same day (24.4.95), Mrs S had made a "puppy pie" out of butcher's scraps, mince and fish, and we were treated to the sight of nine collies sitting in a circle, all eating platesful of pie!

I will remember also the day that she met Snorri-dog. He was only a little pup, but she beat him up, all the same!

Sleep well, Spotty-lass, we'll miss you.

Snorri xxx

So sorry to hear the news Snorri, but at least she had a long and happy life and can now run free at the bridge a puppy once more.

Her owner's like you must have lots of happy memories of her .

Run free Spotty .......

I've no doubt that Jimmy will miss her, she was a true Orkney working dog: in other words, a specialist in keeping Jimmy company on his tractor!

When she was sitting with Kali, there was no difficulty in telling the relationship! She lived with 2 other dogs for most of her life - a rough collie called Nelson and a "Colloyed" named Sweep, and she didn't half keep the boys in line!

She sounds a special girl, hold those pictures in your mind, bless her.
I am sure she will be sorely missed.
RIP spotty, you made a huge impact on those who knew you.
