Worst Cruelty case EVER

I am putting the initial pics in as links so you can make up your mind whether you want to view it or not:

She has her mouth closed in those pics, what you see is the skin hanging down..

I couldn't even look at her closely at first and THAT says alot. The whole injury wss days old and rotten, the smell was appalling. Her skin was ripped all the way back to her neck and exposes the jaw bone totally.

She spent 3 days at my normal vets and I then moved her to a specialist who had to debride the skin etc. It was horrific. She never flinched or tried to bite...

First the corners of her mouth were stitched:

Then she has had a long OP to try to stitch it all back together:

I still don't know whether she will be ok but she is one tough old Staffie lady!!

Banning dangerous dogs indeed what about the scumbags who use little old Staffies as bait dogs???

I am so mad...

Ouch

Was the lower jaw OK ?

Couldn't decide if the flesh had been peeled back or if the front part of the lower jaw was missing.

Hope she recovers.

No, the whole flesh was peeled away from it all the way back to the neck. Her jaw bones were exposed...

What's she like in terms of her behavoir ?

She looks quite placid in those pictures - just thinking about future re-homing issues.

She is a darling, no probs whatsoever. Wags her tail when a needle is stuck in. I do Bull Breed Rescue for a long time so I know my stuff re rehoming.

I know what you do thought I'd ask as I suspect she's been through a fair old rough ride.

Best of luck with her.

She converted the specialist vet to Bull Breeds. He was impressed with her behaviour despite the pain she never flinched and was always friendly.
