ATM Machines Pin numbers

I got this email thought i would share it with you all.Hope its helpfull to everyone.

Subject: Reversing your PIN number

PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM
Machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321.

The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card
you Placed in the machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to
the Robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is
Seldom used because people don't know it exists.

Please pass this along to everyone possible.

Can that really be true? Putting the wrong pin number in gets you the money anyway?

I hope it's not, as my number MUST be the reverse of someone's, surely

But you have to have the card too - your pin number the right way round could well be the same as many other people's for all you know - it is the combination of card and number that's important.

Having said that, I have no idea whether the reverse thing is correct (and hope I never have cause to try it!)

I thought that was weird!!

They really ought to come up with something along those lines to alert police if you need them though.
