Eye problem

Satchmo's recently developed a cyst-like node on his lower eyelid. It's right on the edge of his eyelid, more inside than out, if that makes sense. I took him to the vets when I first noticed it, and they said I had to wait to see if it grew at all or changed before they could diagnose. Apparently, it needs to be of a certain size before they could operate, if operating's deemed necessary.

Well, it has grown - it started off like a grain of sugar and is now about 3mm in diamater - so he's off to the vets again this thursday. It's also got a blood supply - when he's resting it's white in colour, but after exercise or strenuous play it flushes pink.

I know I'm taking him the vets again, but I wondered if anyone knew what it was and how it's treated?

Could be a sty or a chalazion. Stys are treated with oral & topical antibiotics if necessary. Chalazions are removed surgically as, if they rupture, the contents can cause severe inflammation.
