I think so to - this has all happened at the time when they had announced they were going to leave Portugal on Sunday & return home.
I think the police are trying to cover all avenues.

It just worries me a little when they say they have uncovered DNA evidence.

What seems odd to me is that this comes so soon after getting the DNA results back.

I sincerely hope it is not true, but I have to admit I have thought that one or both parents could have had an involvement. No real reason just a gut instinct. They say that most crimes involving children the person responsible turns out to be a family member or someone the child has known. I agree Dawn the DNA evidence worries me too.

I hope they are not clutching at straws, this family has been through enough, however if something is there to be investigated, then it needs to be followed. Unfortunately however dismaying it may be, in the past family members have been found down the line to have committed the crime. I hope this is not the case and the family are ruled out quickly.

This is so very true and the social worker in me is very suspicious, but my conscious tells me this is just speculation....let the police and if neccesary, courts do their job and try my hardest not to judge.

This incident has never sat right with me from the start, my instinct tells me something is very wrong about it right from the word go.
