Fleur's puppies (Bichon Frise) @ one day old.

Well everyone I've not been around very much lately for a number of reasons, but perhaps the most important one is that some of you know Fleur was pregnant. Well I'm overjoyed to announce the safe arrival of 5 fantastic puppies late on Sunday 29th July. Both mum and puppies are doing very well.
Fleur was in 1st stage labour for most of Sunday and I'd been up all night on Saturday with her as she was restless. She progressed to stage 2 and produced her first baby at 10.25 pm a lovely little 7 oz girl, at 11.05 pm a 9 oz (ouch) boy was born, following on quickly with an 8 oz girl at 11.12 pm who decided to come into the world breech. 11.25 pm saw a 81/2 oz boy arrive and his brother arrived a mere 10 minutes later at 11.35 pm weighing in at 8 oz.

So I thought I'd share a few snaps of the little gremlins here;

A very dirty, exhausted but happy Fleur immediately after delivery;

Just over a day old;

Hopefully this should be about a seconds worth of video as I played about and found that my camera does indeed have a video function. If you have the volume on I think you should just hear Fleur bark at me to tell me to hurry up and then Megan and I call her. Sorry it's so short but now that I've found which button it is hopefully I can take some more!

and yes of course we are keeping one!

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. They are gorgeous Kath, had to play the video a couple of times to capture them but well worth the moment. 5 very lively wrigglers.
