UK Statisitcs on unwanted staffies?

I'm after some UK statistics on the staffy rescue issue.

Would be great if I could have them in comparison to other breeds - it's to provide to someone who refuses to believe staffies are in any worse situation than any other breed and as such wants to breed his bitch once before spaying

Battersea released their figures of rescues which was very revelaing. So there must be something on their site.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier 1389/625
Yorkshire Terrier 148/43

Our own breed rescues are struggling,likewise so are national ones.
