Redecorating the dining room

we are redecorating the dining room before the babies arrive
what do you think?

I'm a pastel walls fan with loud fixtures and fixings. The pic you've posted shows quite shiny paint, personally I'd use a matt so the light doesn't reflect too much off the walls.
Sorry didn't mean to sound negative but decor is so very much a personal choice and that's mine lol!
You paint your house however you want.

i love my loud colours Becky, hubby don't he is a pastel person, but because i went to college and got a NVQ in painting and decorating i tell him to trust me

the paint seems shiny as it had just been done, this morning it don't look so glossy

all the wals are now nearly done, it is dark but i love it
will post some pics of the finished room in a couple of days

Well as long as you love it that's all that counts. I've been on day courses for paint effects which was awesome. I like the clingfilm one and maybe one day I'll have the guts to do it on a wall lol! (I think it's called frappage but can't remember!)

What does NVQ stand for.

I've just remembered, 'Not Very Qualified'.

Only joking!

It's a standing joke on a building sites because an NVQ is way lower than a basic City in Guilds.

But good on you for getting it all the same.

i only did it to learn the basics tbh
it comes in handy sometimes and has also made me a lot more adventureous when it comes to decorating

some pics taken today
just need the border to go on then i can paper the bottom
