Kitchen before and after... photo-heavy!!!

The long awaited saga of my kitchen...

Here's what it looked like before, all open shelves and orange paint

But there's a rather useful under-stair alcove where the fridge lives, and the little door in the wall is actually the original larder :

And the floor was a bit lovely (especially with Bongo there ):

So I spent a lot of timewhile I was off last year planning the new layout:

And filling the dining room up with materials :

Then, having had all the stuff piled up since December, we finally persuaded my uncle to come and fit it for us!!!

Erm... Are you sure this is getting better?:

But wait... who's that on the floor?:

Oh yes! That's more like it :

Now spot the difference

It's a wee bit more organised now:

And there's even space to have some flowers (they really do make the washing-up more bearable, honest!):

Alright, alright! I admit we haven't quite finished the painting yet, but it does mean moving the fridge :

Eeeek! What's with the scary eyes Bongo? :

Thanks for looking!

Oh it looks great now. Bet you are glad its over I think changing the kitchen is a nightmare. But well worth it in the end. A white kitchen always makes the room seem bigger too. Well done.
