My New Boy (Kerry Beagle)

Hey Guy's,

I have been looking for another breed to show for the past year and finally i have decided and found the perfect dog a Kerry Beagle, they are the second oldest Irish Breed and there are very few registered as they are used mainly for hunting but i was very lucky to this 4 year old male, his owner decided to let me take him on for showing as he was not the best dog for working, he is known as a Mottled Blue and Tan, i only have him 4 day's and he is doing great his first show will be an International on the 16th of June so we have quiet a bit of work to do from now til then,

Here's a few pic's i took of him the day after i brought him home,

what a gorgeous dog! I've liked them for a long time, but they don't seem at all common in UK. I knew someone with a couple when I kived in Cork though

xx

He is looking good and I wish you the best of luck with his show career. Don't think I have ever seen one over here at shows. Its not easy to tell from the pics but he looks much bigger than the beagles I am used to seing. Thanks for sharing these pics . Being a hound person I especially found them very interesting.

THey are alot bigger than the normal Beagle, there are very few showing over here, maybe you will see this boy over there someday Let's hope he follows in his parents footsteps as they are both Champions
