Retractable Lead...

Trying to find a retractable lead....must be all tape no cord and the tape must be really tough...some of them in the shops are really thin I've noticed....it's for a small to medium dog and if poss longer than 5 metres...anyone got one and know where I can get one for a present. Thanks

I always went up a size for the dog I had so buying one for a large breed would probably be your best option.

Actually Huskadie has a point. I have a feeling the all tape version only comes in 5m as the 8m would be very heavy.

Agree with Mahooli about using the next size up too.

PAH is short for the shops, Pets At Home

At risk of sticking my oar in, is there a particular reason you want to use a retractable rather than a long line ?
I only ask because I hate retractables, they are well known for snapping, being pulled out of the hand easily because the handles are so cumbersome, getting wrapped around dogs legs, tangling when dogs meet, stop button failing in emergencies, and a big no-no, [ imo ], being attached to collar then used at full length

Must admit I don't road walk Ollie with his as he can't be trusted not to pull when he see's other dogs and i wouldn't be able to hold him so he has to wear his harness and double ended training lead for road walks,I use the retractable for field walking as I can reel him in quicker and keep him really close if i want although most of the time he is off playing with doggie Friends.
