Diabeties

Hi
My dog has been diagnosed with diabeties? They have started her in insulin on Thursday, the last couple of night ive noticed her panting but when i offer her water she has a little sip then carries on panting. Has anyone ver experienced this? Or could it just be down to the warm weather? Any help on this matter and diabeties would be much appreciated Many Thanks
