Poor Willow

We came back from out main walk of the day earlier. Willow stopped for a shake at the front door and to my horror, the door was splattered with blood!

We got inside and took off coats etc and I took a look. She had blood on her throat, ears, head, her collar was covered in it as well. (Her ears were pure sticky.) But because we had been out in the rain I wasn't sure how bad it was.

So I took her up and bathed her. Of course she shook a few times in the bath and when my daughter came in all she seen was blood splattered everywhere across the tiles and a bath "fill of blood".

So once I got her all washed down all I can find is one sort of scratch more than a cut along her throat. I dried her off and put some wound spray on it. Hope there is no other injury lurking.

From the amount of blood earlier you would have thought someone had tried to murder her! Of course she's perfectly happy and munching on a bone now.

Panick over.

How scary, I would have got in a right panic.

She's obviously not bothered by whatever caused it, bless her little heart, hope its on the mend. x

What a shock, with blood and water it always seems much worse than it usually is! Hope she recovers OK (and you go have a stiff drink!)

Poor Willow, I hope she's better soon. It probably seemed like more blood than there actually was because of the rain water and shower water. Just keep a close eye on her in case of infection. I bet you panicked more than she did - don't we all?!
