Don't think they have the right answer there. Another swift and unworkable reaction. I'm very glad I don't live in that area. My greatest pleasure is watching Bailey run like the wind having fun. Lead walking is no fun for him. Yet again the majority of responsible dog owners will suffer because of a minority.

Yet more media hype IMO.

To say the only way you can have control of a dog is to have it on lead is ridiculous. You can have control of a dog off lead. It's called TRAINING! You know, that thing that responsible dog owners actually bother to do???

Sorry but if people think I'm going to be forced to keep my dog/s on a lead because of the idiot minority they can think again.

Over my dead body.

It's times like this I'm glad I live in the North!

Honestly wouldnt bother me keeping my dogs on a lead, and at least these people will now have to take a little responsibility for their dogs.
Dawn.

How are they gonna police this when they can't even do anything about dogs fouling public areas? They're supposed to fine people who allow their dogs to crap on a path, but how many people have actually been prosecuted for it?

I'm glad I have the land to exercise my dogs properly.

Bloody hell. Knee jerk if ever there was one!

Imagine all those dogs that need plenty of exercising being kept on leads all their life. Only increases the chances of biting with all that pent up energy if you ask me!
