Hi Sal,

Don't worry, she may have got it wrong and he's there all the time, if not and he has played truant, there must be a good reason for it.

I played truant once, because I feared that I was going to get told off and get the blame for something that I hadn't done.

I was always good at school, so I was frightened, too frightened to even tell my dear Mum.

She found out though, so I wish I'd told her in the beginning and she'd have sorted it out, I was about 11 or 12 (I think).

Kind regards

Jill

I'm sure it will be fine, he probably turned up late and missed his register.

Can't beleive its taken them this long to tell you..

My kids are at different schools.. one is at the Infant school and one at the Primary.. if they are off school they ring you no later than 9.30am to find out why

I hope they have messed up and he is there all along.. and they apologise to you and him!!

Silly woman.

At our school, before the secretary rings home to find out about a child she checks with class teacher. Not hard to do!

We get this quite often with our second daughter, the school she goes to seem to have more supply teachers than permanent staff, so half the time they either don't hear them or because they don't know them mark them as absent! Then we get the call home, I spend the rest of the day either worrying or getting angry thinking she didn't go!
