Trigger damaged his leg

Well trigger had an accident on monday and hurt his leg he was in a lot of pain took him straight to the vets and they thought he had broke it, they did x-rays and not broken thank god but it looks like he ripped his tendons in stead he has got his leg bandaged up and we get it changed every week could be any thing upto 8 weeks on healing time but they have said if we hit that time limit then he will be having an op as it will not heal after that.
It was very scarey as he is my baby and when he cried so did i.

here is a pic of him in his green bandage he now has a nice pink one on and on friday they are changing it to red for xmas.

he is finding it very hard as he has to stay on his own away from the other dogs alot so he rests so getting bored.

bless him. Will let you now how we go.

hava a great xmas everyone

xxxxxxx

Poor little Trigger, I do hope he makes a good recovery and doesn't have to have surgery.

You're as bad as me, I'm always in tears at my vets, its because we love them so much we don't want them to be in pain or discomfort.

I'm keeping everything crossed for him, please give him a hug from me and the doggies. x

Awh, bless him. Hope he feels better real soon.
Did you ask the vet about the need perhaps to reduce his feed slightly since he'll be doing no exercise?

Kongs, treat balls and large raw bones are good ways to keep him entertained while recouperating. Don't forget a wee plastic bag over the bandage on potty trips to the back yard.

Good luck.
