Rouge tooth!

Hi all

My Chi has a baby tooth that is really stuck in there and the vet has said that there is no way it will fall out of its own accord. It is next to his adult fang tooth and is quite noticable (and really sharp!!) It doesnt botehr him in the slightest and we check regularly for any plaque build up etc. Would he need to have this removed if we wanted to show him? I dont really want to put him through the op for no reason. He is 11 months old and I think that he is fairly good in all other areas
